Abstract
This article discusses the relationship between teacher health and working conditions in the contemporary educational context. The emotional, physical, and cognitive demands imposed by the profession have led to an increase in cases of stress, burnout, and other illnesses related to work overload. The analysis highlights the importance of public policies aimed at valuing teachers, promoting health, and improving working conditions in schools. The research is based on authors such as Codo (2006), Esteve (1999), and Tardif (2002), who reflect on teacher illness and the challenges of pedagogical practice.
