Abstract

This study discusses sustainable development in Brazil and the objectives defined by the United Nations (UN), commonly known as SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Therefore, specifically, the promotion of sustainable cities and their relationship with the activities of Civil Engineering are highlighted as a sub-theme of analysis and universe of study. The analysis of the studies showed a predominant focus on the efficiency of materials and construction techniques, reflecting a concern with reducing environmental impact and promoting more sustainable practices in construction.
