Prejudice and discrimination: A study on the main aspects of gender violence

Abstract: Since the most remote periods, inequalities between men and women and other gender issues have been present, and for a long time it made us believe that women were inferior to men, which is why only men exercised public life, with activities intellectuals and politicians, women were already responsible for reproduction, child rearing, home care and other subsistence-related activities. People of other genders were seen as ill. This article discusses gender issues, based on the violence established from paradigms in which man is a superior gender. The study concluded that prejudice and discrimination are the main causes of gender-based violence in the country. And that more efficient public policies are needed to safeguard the human rights of being, so that it becomes possible to mitigate prejudice and discrimination in society.
